Public Group active 12 years, 1 month agoBack in May when “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition” launched many gamers were upset that the game was not the latest version of the PC game. Instead 4J Studios had to release an early beta of the game, and while it included many of the features that made “Minecraft” a success, 4J knew they had to get updates out there quickly.
While there aren’t really any sound effects to speak of, surprisingly, the background music is actually pretty good (for a board game, at least). It’s catchy and upbeat, and easy to listen to for short bursts for a quick game or two, or during extended lengths of time while you play. It doesn’t grate on your nerves unnecessarily, and some of the songs are really very fun and enjoyable listening.
“Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” is set to be the first “Call of Duty” with micro-transactions in the game. Announced today, the game is set to get a few new features for players that have extra microsoft points generator laying around.
But, supposing you don’t own a Wii or DS, or perhaps you just want to play some oldschool-styled Sonic in glorious high-definition, reaping the benefits of Achievements, Trophies, and whatever else SEGA offers your state-of-the-art platform of choice. There is good news for you as well.
The atmosphere of the game closely mimicked that of a real game show. The live host, Chris Cashman, is pretty funny and adds a nice live element to the show although I would like to see or hear more of him throughout the game. You only really hear from the host during “stat breaks” and before and after commercials (yes there are actually commercials still). He also got cut off a few times by the game resuming or a commercial starting. Hopefully they fix that issue.
Then there were the twins. Apparently enemies or misunderstood allies, at first viewers believed them to be female. Upon hearing them speak in deep, lumberjack voices, this was proven false. All we know so far is that these 2 cross-dressing individuals will ‘not less Master Chief pass’. Gate guards or unfriendly nurses? Your guess is as good as mine.
Although having very little customization detracts from the game, veterans of Magic will still have fun with Duels due to its fast paced nature. Overall it is a great game for new and old players alike. Wizards of the Coast will be releasing downloadable content in the future and the hope is that it will include new cards, new decks, and the ability to customize. Regardless of whether customization is added or not, Duels is still worth the 800 Microsoft Points for the redeemable Magic card alone. Upon purchasing the game, you are giving a code that can be redeemed on the Magic website for a special card. The cards go on Ebay for $25-$30 so that right there justifies your purchase of the game. So what are you waiting for? Give it a try!
